Best Family Cruise Deals Of The Year

Just when you thought the cruise deals couldn’t get any better, prices keep falling. This deal day we’re taking a look at some amazing deals where kids sail free. Don’t wait to book, space is going quickly.

The best deal that we found this week is on the Costa Atlantica out of Ft. Lauderdale on November 7th. You can sail the Caribbean in an outside cabin for 7 nights for a total of $1,268 for a family of four! Costa is offering its Kids Sail Free promotion on most Atlantica sailings through the remainder of 2010 and into 2011.

Holland America Cruise Line is also offering reduced and complimentary 3rd/4th passenger rates on its Caribbean, Mexico and Panama Canal sailings for the remainder of the year. We found space for a family of four for as little as $1,293 total for 7 nightson the Ryndam’s November 28th sailing from Tampa. There are plenty of other sailings available for under $1,500, so be sure to check it out before space is gone!

Finally, we’re reminding our readers again that Disney Cruise Line still is running an unadvertised deal on the January 3rd special 5 night sailing of the Disney Magic (this is the one with the double stop at Castaway Cay). Kids still sail free in a Verandah cabin when you use promo code KFO. Watch this sailing closely for further price reductions.

Fall Family Cruise Deals

This deal day, we just can’t pass up some of the amazing cruise deals that are out there for November and December. If you’ve put off a vacation this year, now may be the time to act because pricing is lower than it has been the rest of the year. We’ve pulled out just a few of what we consider to be the best deals out there.

Let’s start with the Enchantment of the Seas 9-night sailings from Baltimore. With first and second passenger fares starting at only $499 ($279 for 3rd/4th), you can sail for less than $1,850 for a family of four! Want to upgrade? Try sailing onboard the Celebrity Mercury from Baltimore (same 9 nights) starting at just $549.

Carnival has a couple of super deals out there too. Sail on the Carnival Glory from just $359pp for a 7-night cruise on November 28th. That comes out to just $1,467 for a family of four! Flush with cash? Hop onboard the Carnival Valor from $399pp for a 7-night cruise from Miami to the Western Caribbean($1,538 for a family of four).

Finally, on NCL you can pretty much have your pick of ships from just $399pp with 3rd/4th rates starting at $199pp on most 7-night cruises. The least expensive sailing is on December 12th onboard the Norwegian Pearl with rates starting at $379pp. Remember, kids under 2 sail for free (just pay port taxes and fees).

Deal Day Travel Deals – Rules of the Road

Since our launch in November of 2009, we’ve shared travel deals, discounts and tips with our readers every Wednesday in what we’ve dubbed deal day. Beginning this week, we’re asking other bloggers/writers, travel agents and travel providers to join us in submitting their best travel deals. We recognize that we cannot possibly list every deal we come across, so we’re hoping that you can help us to help our loyal readers.

Here is how it works:

Bloggers/Writers

  1. If you are a blogger/writer, choose an article or post that you have authored involving discount travel, current travel deals or tips for receiving free or discount travel. This can include a post or article describing a free attraction that you visited or a free activity that you participated in. All posts and articles should be G-rated as this is a family friendly website.
  2. In the first box, enter your deal or article/post topic followed by your website or blog name in parenthesis (). In the second box, enter a valid e-mail address. In the third box, enter a direct link to your post or article (do not link to a general page or your homepage as those links will be removed). An example form is included below.
  3. Include a link back to our blog (http://www.thelollipoproad.com) in your post or article so that your readers can find other deals and tips for traveling on the cheap. (Ex. For more travel deals and tips on reducing your travel costs, check out deal day at The Lollipop Road)
  4. Limit one link per author, blog or website each deal day.

Travel Agents & Travel Providers

  1. If you are a travel agent or travel provider, choose a single deal or a group of deals that represent an excellent value for travelers. Since our focus is on families, it would be most appropriate to provide a family friendly travel deal whenever possible. If you are providing a group of travel deals, they should be related (ie Carnival cruise deals or Disney hotel deals). We understand that many travel agents and travel providers also author websites or blogs. Submissions linking to articles or posts should adhere to the requirements for bloggers/writers above.
  2. In the first box, enter your deal title followed by your website or company name in parenthesis (). In the second box, enter a valid e-mail address. In the third box, enter a direct link to your travel deal (do not link to a general page, contact page or homepage as those links will be removed). An example form is included below.
  3. Include a link back to our blog (http://www.thelollipoproad.com) on your linked page so that your readers can find other deals and tips for traveling on the cheap. (Ex. We think this is such a great deal that we’ve submitted it as part of  deal day at The Lollipop Road) Alternatively, you may place a link to our blog on your website homepage, which will allow you more flexibility when posting your link.
  4. Limit one link per travel agent, company or travel provider each deal day.

We reserve the right to remove any links that we deem to be inappropriate. Please review the other links that have been posted before posting your link so that you are not duplicating a deal posted by another reader. Thank you for participating!

Last Minute Summer Cruise Deals

It’s deal day again and we’re taking a look at some of the best last-minute family cruise deals you can squeeze in before summer comes to an end and school starts once again!  Pricing is based upon 2 adults and 2 children (one under 2 ) in the same cabin, including all taxes and fees.  Fares can change without notice, so act quickly!

Cruise Line/Ship Length/Port Date Category 1st/2nd 3rd/4th Total
RCCL Grandeur 5nt-Ft Lauder 8/23 JS-Suite $849 $299 $2615
RCCL Freedom 7nt-Port Canav 8/29 Q-Inside $619 $549 $2683
Celeb Solstice 7nt-Ft Lauder 8/22 X-Veranda Gty $699 $399 $2559
Celeb Solstice 7nt-Ft Lauder 8/29 X-Veranda Gty $699 $399 $2622

NCL Spirit 7nt-Boston 8/27 I-Inside $699 $199 $2390

The steal in this pack is the Celebrity Solstice.  You’d normally pay close to this total for 2 people, but for these two sailings, a family of four can sail for around $2,500!  This is a great ship, so if you’re looking for a bit of an upscale mass market experience (comparable to Disney without all of the special entertainment), you’ll love the Solstice.

To book any of these sailings, contact your local travel agent or visit Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity or NCL online.  Remember to ask about past passenger, senior or resident discounts or bonuses for these sailings to get an even better deal!  Bon Voyage!
